Ten days ago TYPHOON FURY (Mitole) got his nose on the wire to break his maiden in a 6 furlong MSW on the Aqueduct turf. Jumping right up into stakes company in the Central Park Stakes at Aqueduct he added his first black type checking in third. I brought three very solid horses here and didn't hit the board with any of them. It's a disappointment, but we move on.”

Jockey Irad Ortiz, beaten favorite No Nay Mets, fourth – “He ran great. I thought I was the speed of the race but he didn't mind sitting there. He listened to me and relaxed. When I asked him, he cut the corner, was in the clear and made a good run. Unfortunately we couldn't get there.”

Since becoming a trainer in 2002, Weaver has started just five horses in Breeders' Cup races, with just a third to his credit. But on Friday, Weaver will be rather busy in the paddock before the $1 million Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint (G1T) at Santa Anita Park, taking care of the saddling and talking to the jockeys of not one, not two, but three starters in the race.

AMIDST WAVES (Midshipman)  a  winner  by a nose in the Bolton Landing Stakes at Saratoga Race Course,lost by a by a nose in Keeneland’s $250,000 Indian Summer Stakes, a 5 1/2-furlong sprint on the grass for 2-year-olds. She dueled gamely and just missed.

Owner Tom Brockley admitted he had moderate expectations when Brocknardini (Palace Malice) went to the post for the first time Wednesday at Saratoga. "In my mind, she was really more of a dirt horse, but this race came up and she was ready to go," Brockley, who owns the 2-year-old filly with his wife, Daryn, said. "She had a good work from the gate 10 days or so ago at Saratoga. [Trainer] George [Weaver] said,' We've got to race her.'The race that came up was this. So I said, 'Let's bring her out. No Nay Mets further stamped himself as a 2-year-old turf sprinter with Breeders' Cup potential, returning from a disappointing showing at Royal Ascot by easily putting away 11 rivals as he cruised to a 5½-length victory in the $112,000 Tyro Stakes on Sunday at Monmouth Park.

Owned in part by Houston Astros' All-Star Alex Bregman, along with WEBD LLC, the son of No Nay Never became a two-time stakes winner in just his third career start.

 After breaking her maiden by 3 3/4 length in her second career race at Belmont Park, AMIDST WAVES  stepped up her game at Monmouth Park to win the Colleen S.  Off the favorite, the chestnut filly tracked just to the outside of a longshot up the backstretch, was given her cue around the far turn and ran on nicely with good energy to win by 1 1/4 lengths.    "She's a Midshipman filly and a lot of the Midshipman offspring seem to like the grass," said trainer George Weaver. "There have been quite a few that have been good sprinting on the grass. We ran her on the dirt first time out. She's okay on the dirt, too. We had a chance to work her on the grass. It seemed like she was really happy on it. So it was natural to try. She ran big at Belmont (on the turf). I was impressed with her win at Belmont and this is the natural next step for her. I thought she would be really tough in here."

Sacred Wish, the runner-up in the Coaching Club, has plenty of options for her next start including the turf, trainer George Weaver said.

The seven-furlong Test might come back too quick. Weaver said the Alabama or the Grade 1, $1 million Cotillion on Sept. 23 could also be considered. Parx Racing, which hosts the Cotillion, also has the $200,000 Cathryn Sophia at a mile and 70 yards on Aug. 22.

“Even with the huge performance yesterday, we’re still learning about her,” Weaver said Sunday. “She’s lightly raced and I’m not 100 percent sure what her best distance is. All I know is she ran huge yesterday in a Grade 1 at Saratoga and we’re delighted.”

Weaver does have a horse for the Test in Dorth Vader, who was beaten just a head by Pretty Mischievous in the Grade 1 Acorn.

On Sunday, Dorth Vader worked five furlongs in 59.60 seconds over the Saratoga main track.

SACRED WISH (Not This Time) broke her maiden at Oaklawn in her 2nd start. Stepping up into graded stakes company in the G2  Gulfstream Park Oaks, she finished a willing 2nd. 2nd again in allowance company at Belmont, SACRED WISH almost got the Coaching Club American Oaks (Gr. 1) won - missing by a neck. She made the lead but was caught by a closer. The filly is owned by Black Type Thoroughbreds, Swinbank Stables, Steve Adkisson, Christopher T. Dunn and Anthony Spinazzola and was bred by John R. The status or purse of a stakes race is not always what it makes it unforgettable for some people.

Trainer George Weaver, his family, and the merry owners of the 2-year-old filly Crimson Advocate  will surely agree with that fact of life in Thoroughbred racing.

As much as it was a group 2 stakes with a purse of about €115,000, the June 21 edition of the Queen Mary Stakes will be a moment locked away in the minds and hearts of everyone involved with Crimson Advocate's rather heroic victory by a very slim nose.

TWISTED FILIGREE (c, 2, Distorted Humor--Saturn Lace {Ire}, by Kodiac {GB}) debuted last out May 12 against an open maiden field sprinting at course and distance and finished a strong second to next-out Tremont S. runner-up Ship Cadet (Midshipman). No Nay Never is the sire of the George Weaver-trained No Nay Mets, who punched his ticket in the May 13 Royal Palm Juvenile at Gulfstream Park. Owned by the Houston Astros’ Alex Bregman, the colt is entered in Monday’s Goffs London Sale, so he could well be sporting a new jersey, so to speak, in the Norfolk.

No Nay Mets was bred by Coolmore in Ireland and purchased for €180,000 as a yearling at Arqana August. The son of Group 3-winning blueblood Etoile was re-offered at OBS in April but failed to sell at a top bid of $335,000.

Frankie Dettori picks up the Norfolk mount on No Nay Mets. The colt signaled his well-being by firing a June 2 bullet over the Oklahoma training turf at Saratoga, covering a half-mile in :48.28 on a firm course – the exact same time as his Queen Mary-bound stablemate Crimson Advocate.

“Luckily, we have Frankie Dettori riding him and, if anybody knows how to ride the course, it is definitely him,” Weaver’s assistant Blair Golen told Ascot publicity. “So I think that is to our advantage. It means everything to have him riding and, if that makes Wesley Ward jealous, then even better!”

NO NAY METS (No Nay Never) winner of the Royal Palm Juvenile at Gulfstream Park which gave him an immediate birth in the Norfolk S. G2 at Royal Ascot. He is entered in the Goffs London Sale - a Boutique sale on the eve of Royal Ascot at Kensington Palace Gardens. He is listed as lot 11 consigned by Jackman Bottom Trading Company LLC (Mike Akers). The sale takes place on June 19th.

Two-year-old filly AMIDST WAVES (Midshipman) sprinted 5 furlongs on the turf at Belmont to graduate by 3 3/4 lengths going away. She is owed by  Dew Sweepers and was bred by Woods Edge Farm, LLC & Ballyfair Bloodstock.

According to the Daily Racing Form, Weaver's wife Cindy will be able to join him for the Royal Ascot trip. Last July, Cindy Weaver suffered a severe brain injury in a accident at Saratoga.
“Cindy has come a long ways while continuing her recovery since the accident,” Weaver told DRF. “It's not easy what she's had to go through over the past 11 months just to get herself to where she's at right now. She's put an awful lot of work into this and fortunately is slowly but steadily getting back to being capable of doing more things, like traveling to Aspen, Colorado, as we did in March and now making this trip to England next month.

Stablemates Crimson Advocate and No Nay Mets, who registered relatively easy victories in the first two Win and You’re In qualifying races for Royal Ascot ever run in the U.S. earlier this month at Gulfstream Park, will be off to merry old England in two weeks for the Queen Mary on June 21 and Norfolk Stakes the following afternoon, trainer George Weaver confirmed on Wednesday.

When the market determines the value of something, they call it “the going rate.” In the case of George Weaver's two juvenile winners at Gulfstream last Saturday, however, a recent pricing had meant that neither was going anywhere. No Nay Mets (Ire) (No Nay Never) was staying in the same ownership; and Crimson Advocate (Nyquist) was staying in the same barn. And now both, from going nowhere, are on their way to Royal Ascot next month.

The trainer now has two horses that are Royal Ascot-bound after stakes victories.

Trainer George Weaver booked a traveling companion for his earlier Royal Palm Juvenile winner No Nay Mets as CRIMSON ADVOCATE (Nyquist–Citizen Advocate, by Proud Citizen) went gate-to-wire in the filly's division, stamping her own ticket to next month's Royal Ascot meet. With the best break of the field, the filly never gave the others a chance, opening up a length in the first furlong and never letting the others get a step closer. Wesley Ward's Ocean Mermaid (GB) (Kingman {GB}) was the only rival to give chase but was always second best as Crimson Advocate cruised home alone to win by daylight. The final time for the five-furlong sprint was :56.25, over a second faster than the colt's division earlier in the day. With the win, she earned an automatic start into one of the six 2-year-old races at this year's Royal Ascot meet happening from Jun. 20-24 and her connections also earned a $25,000 travel stipend. After taking a well-earned shot and running respectably well in the Grade 1 Carter Handicap three weeks ago, Today’s Flavor drops back in with New York-breds in Sunday’s $100,000 Affirmed Success Stakes, the closing-day feature at the Aqueduct spring meet.

PASS THE CHAMPAGNE jumped from a maiden win to 2nd in the G1 Ashland Stakes last year. Following a sub-par race in the KY Oaks, she got a long time off, and now she is back - first with an allowance win and then with a 2nd by a head in the Wayward Lass at Tampa Bay and now with a 2nd in the Heavenly Cause Stakes at Laurel. She is owned by  R. OZONE PARK, N.Y. – Following his fourth consecutive victory – and first against open company – the New York-bred Today’s Flavor is headed for stakes company for his next start. One of his options could be the Grade 1 Carter on April 8 at Aqueduct.

“Nominations close two weeks out, if the horse is doing well, he will be nominated and we will consider it,” trainer George Weaver said Sunday.

At Tampa Bay, ROCK CHALK (Cairo Prince) also was bumped at the start but more mildly. He raced near the center of the pack and then moved out 4 wide to get up for the win by 3/4 of a length racing a mile on the turf. He is owned by James Politano and was bred by Hickstead Farm.

OZONE PARK, N.Y. - Today’s Flavor looks to be a future New York-bred stakes horse after following up his 8 1/2-length maiden win Nov. 27 with a similar front-running, 8 1/2-length victory Sunday in a first-level allowance race at Aqueduct. Both races were against statebreds.

OZONE PARK, N.Y. – The New York-bred Finest Work looks to put the bow on a terrific 4-year-old campaign when she takes on open company in Sunday’s $135,000 Forever Together Stakes at Aqueduct as the turf season begins to wind down for the year on this circuit.

Finest Work, a 4-year-old daughter of Outwork trained by George Weaver, has four wins and two seconds in six starts this year. While three of those wins have come in state-bred company, Finest Work did win a first-level open-company allowance by 2 1/2 lengths at Monmouth Park on Sept. 10.

Pass the Champagne recently returned to light training for George Weaver at his Palm Beach Downs base after the 4-year-old filly missed time following a Feb. 3 comeback win at Gulfstream.

“We scoped her afterward and found some mucous, so we gave her a couple weeks to clear that up,” Weaver said.

Pass the Champagne was second by a head in the Grade 1 Ashland before getting nine months off following a 12th-place finish in the Kentucky Oaks.

SW SUPREME AURA got his 7-year-old campaign off with a win racing a mile at Aqueduct. He came from far off the pace to get his nose on the wire first. SUPREME AURA was claimed for owners James Politano and Brody Racing, LLC at Belmont last July.

MAJESTIC DUNHILL closed 11 lengths to be runner-up in the 2019 General George under Feargal Lynch, and reunites with that pilot who recently returned from injury. Lynch had been out since last summer with neck and back fractures and just made his comeback last weekend. MAJESTIC DUNHILL is a past Laurel stakes winner who has some class edge off his recent races, albeit exits a pair of starts that were unraveled at the start. Trainer George Weaver has been on point with 4 Laurel wins from his last 9 starters, and brings this one north from Palm Beach Downs off a trio of January works. This quality colt was a past workmate with elite sprinter Vekoma.

Majestic Dunhill (Majesticperfection) a Grade 3 winner (2020 Bold Ruler H.) worked 4 furlongs in 49.1 at Palm Beach Downs on Friday morning. It was the third fastest of 7 works at the distance. This is his first work since his last race. In his last start he placed 10th in the Mr. Prospector (G3) going 7 furlongs on the main track at Gulfstream Park on December 19 for trainer George Weaver.

I GOT A SECRET (Strong Mandate) went right to the front and stayed there unchallenged to win by 2 3/4 lengths going a mie on the dirt at Gulfstream. He is owned by Owner: R. A. Hill Stable and wasbred by Dermot Littlefield, Michael Hardy & Kate Hardy.

Coming from well of the pace, WESTERN ADVANTAGE (Competitive Edge) broke his maiden in his first start. George Weaver bred, owned and trained VINDA MACHINE (Freud) broke her maiden skipping over a sloppy sealed main track to win by a length. She is approaching $50,000 in earnings. 

Down the road, Weaver mentioned the Aug. 1 Whitney Stakes (G1) at nine furlongs as well as the more likely seven-furlong Aug. 29 Forego Stakes Presented by America's Best Racing (G1) as possible next starts for Vekoma. THORNY TALE (Forty Tales) had to race 6 or 7 wide and overcome a bumpy start. but nonetheless  finished 3rd in the New York Stallion Stakes  for owners Commonwealth Stable and Randy  Bradshaw. Last out he was 3rd in the Rego Park Stakes and before that as a 2 year old he was 2nd in New York Stallion Series Stakes.  THORNY TALE has earned over $106,000 for his connections and has a record of 5: 1 - 1 -  2

Trainer George Weaver said Tuesday morning that Javier Castellano, who rode Vekoma to victory in Keeneland's Blue Grass (G2) on April 6, will have the mount in the 2019 Kentucky Derby on May 4 at Churchill Downs.

Owned by the partnership of R.A. Hill Stable and Gatsas Stables, Vekoma returned to Palm Beach Downs training center in South Florida last Tuesday. Weaver said the colt is scheduled to work there Friday with plans to ship to Churchill on April 30 for the Derby.

At Palm Beach Downs, R.A. Hill Stable and Gatsas Stables' Vekoma, who finished third in the $400,000 Xpressbet Fountain of Youth (G2) at Gulfstream March 2, breezed five furlongs in 1:02.82. A decision on whether the George Weaver-trained colt will run in the Florida Derby or the Blue Grass at Keeneland has yet to be made.

VEKOMA made his first start of 2019 count racing a good 3rd in the Fountain of Youth G2 at Gulfstreamm. He raced twice last fall and won both times, including the Grade III Nashua Stakes at Aqueduct by 1-3/4 lengths. Vekoma races for Randy Hill and Matt Gatsas.

Also running third but adding graded more black-type was HOLIDAY STONE in the CANADIAN TURF S. G3 also at Gulfstream. He is owned by Jim & Susan Hill and has earned over$250,000.

Racing 6 furlongs at Aqueduct, DAZZLING SPEED (Concord Point)  stalked the pace in 2nd then took over the lead to go on when asked and win by 7 lengths. He is both trained and owned by George Weaver. 

SW and graded stakes-placed MAJESTIC DUNHILL (Majesticperfection) was purchased by George at a 2-year-old at OBS March for owner  R. A. Hill Stable. He broke his maiden last summer at Saratoga and has earned black-type since winning the My Frenchman at Monmouthand the City of Laurel Stakes. He was also stakes-placed in the Laurel Futurity and the Franklin-Simpson Stakes. Today he found a seam between horses and was a game second in the General George Stakes (Gr. 3).  He has earned over $266,000.

BREAKING LUCKY hustled out early in the G3 Fred W. Hooper Stakes and ran with the first flight. Eased back into the pack, he essentially rebroke to get up for the place. The 7 year old millionaire is owned by / West Point Thoroughbreds, Reeves Thoroughbred Racing, Young, Eric and R. A. Hill Stable. He recently switched to the Weaver barn from the barn of retired Reade Baker.

BREAKING LUCKY entered the Fred W. Hooper off of a tremendous performance in a one-mile allowance optional claimer at Gulfstream Park on Dec. 7. He won by 8 1/2 lengths that day,

2 year old and new gelding FED FEVER (Fed Biz) raced a mile in an off the turfer at Gulfstream. He stalked from second and then accelerated easily past the leader to gain control and graduate by 4 lengths.

Racing 1 1/16  in an off the turf  MSW, 2-year-old filly POINT OF HONOR (Curlin--Zayanna, by Bernardini) kicked away in the lane to score by six lengths. Owned by Jim and Susan Hill, SENSIBLE MYTH (Street Sense), chased the pace intially and the cleared to the outside to win by over 3 lengths. He was springint 5 1/2 furlongs on the turf at Keeneland. He has earned over $95,000.

FLYOFF (Get Stormy) was in strong contention with rivals from the get-go, hit the lead in the stretch and held on to win by a nose. MAJESTIC DUNHILL (Majesticperfection) was purchased at a 2-year-old at OBS March for owner  R. A. Hill Stable. He broke his maiden last summer at Saratoga and has earned black-type since winning the My Frenchman at Monmouth and placing 3rd in the Laurel Futurity. As a 2-year-old, WAY EARLY (Tizway) scored going away in his first start. Stepping up from allowance company into G2 stakes company, he surged from off the pace and ran second in the G2 Penn Mile. He kept the ball rolling at Saratoga, coming 7 wide from off the pace and inching clear. The gelding is owned by Jim & Susan Hill and was bred by Mares Rule III LLC. He has earned over $208,000.

COLONEL TOM (Colonel John) wired the field to break his maiden first out last fall at two for owner Thomas Brockley. Coming back at  3 after a long break, he got his feet wet in a race which did not go his way, but 2 weeks later he found the Belmont winner's circle in his first allowance condition. Once again, he wired the field and won with some ease. Today at Saratoga he hustled to the lead  and set blazing fractions of 21 and change, 43 and change and finished up the 6 1/2 furlongs of the turf in 101.47. Keep an eye on this one!

Five-year-old First Dude gelding WINE NOT second last out in allowance company, ran second again this time in the Saginaw S at Belmont Park He was wide throughout and made a bid in the stretch which earned him his first black type.  FIRST DUDE is owned by  West Point Thoroughbreds and has earned them $236,000.

COLONEL TOM (Colonel John)  broke his maiden last fall for owner Thomas Brockley. BELLA'S GAME, a 3 year old SOLDAT filly selected as a two year old  by George for owners R. A. Hill Stable and BlackRidge Stables LLC, won her second start with ease, She was off well, waited behind horses and then took off when given racing room on the outside and won by 5 lengths racing 6 furlongs on the inner turf at Belmont. 

In the first race, IRISH MARAUDER (Dublin) ran off from the field and never looked back to earn his graduation by almost 9 lengths, He is not only trained by George, but also owned by him. He raced 1 1/16 on the dirt. Later on the same card, BE GONE DADDY (Scat Daddy) running for R.A. Hill Stable, broke well, was in 2nd on the inside for a quarter and then took over the lead and stayed there for the score by 2 3/4 lengths. He raced 6 furlongs on the inner turf course.

REASON TO SOAR has now made it 3 in a row in allowance company at Gulfstream for owner West Point Thoroughbreds. Today he found a tiny seam, slipped through and nailed them at the wire,  He won his 2018 debut and underlined that victory with another win in his next out. As a 3-year-old,  REASON TO SOAR broke his maiden right off the bat with a huge come from behind rally. Next, he ran third in the Ocala Breeders' Sales Sophomore Stakes at Tampa Bay, and then back in NY,  he added another third in the New York Stallion Stakes at Aqueduct. The 4-year-old gelding has earned over $150,000.

Off the favorite, SENSIBLE MYTH (Street Sense) was briefly second and then took over for the rest of the race to sprint clear by 1 3/4 length. She raced 5 1/2 furlongs on a firm turf course. The filly is owned by Jim and Susan Hill.

Going a mile on the turf,  MO MAVERICK ( Uncle M) was making his first start in his 4 year old campaign and got off to a great beginning. He tracked the pace and then hit the front in the stretch and held off a closer to win by almost 2 lengths. He had ended his  2017 campaign with a win in the Lamplighter S. at Monmouth Park.

Multiple graded stakes-placed THUNDERING SKY (Sky Mesa) added still other graded stakes placing to her laurels despite a troubled trip running second in the Royal Heroine G 2 at Santa Anita. Recent;y she was a  strong second place finish in the Buena Vista S G2  also at Santa Anita and before that had stakes placings in the Megahertz Stakes (Gr. 3) and the Goldikova G2 . She won the Pebbles S at  Belmont before flying to the west coast. She is owned by Matthew Schera and has earned over $449,000.

One went outside and one stayed inside, but they both broke their maidens. CULLUM ROAD (Quality Road), off the favorite, was pushed to the outside but cleared for the win by  1 1/2 lengths at Gulfstream for owners West Point Thoroughbreds and Parent Racing. He ran 1 1/16 on the turf.  At Santa Anita, END OF NOW (Ghostzapper) raced between horses and then came on from inside for the win by a neck. He is owned by Jim and Susan Hill.  He raced a mile on the dirt.

In NY at Aqueduct, NY Bred EMPIRE LINE (Morning Line) earlier winner of the DAMON RUNYON S., had a very troubled trip from gate to wire with bumping and traffic but ended up with the show position in the Gander S on a gloomy day at Aqueduct.   West Point Thoroughbreds bought the winner at the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic sale and was contacted by former Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino, who also bid on the horse, to buy a piece of Empire Line so he is owned by both.

The R. A. Hill Stable's 3 year old Candy Ride(ARG) colt ONE FAST RIDE had no trouble graduating first time out of the gate a Tampa Bay. Going off the favorite and racing 1 1/16 on the turf, he waited inside and then came out and closed to clear the field and win by 1 1/1 lengths.

THUNDER'S HONOR (Dialed In) sprints to graduation at Gulfstream. Off the favorite,with 2 seconds already to his credit, he bumped the gate at the start but settled in a good spot and then cleared the field to win by 2 1/2 lengths. 2-year-old BELLEVILLE SPRING (Trinniberg) almost got the job done in the NYSS Great White Way at Aqueduct. He came on and fought gamely to the wire but had to settle for 2nd by a neck. The Phil Birsh homebred gelding was 2nd first time out. Look for him to break his maiden soon,

First time starter 2 yo filly  FORTY WINDS ( Forty Tales) was away quickly as the favorite and accelerated to a commanding four-length tally going 6 furlongs at Aqueduct.  The NY Bred filly is owned by Douglas Arnold. This makes it 2 first time starters 2yo old starters to win in 2 days!

At 3,  he has been often on the board in his 1X allowance condition and won it this fall for owner Joseph F. Fowler. WINNING ELEMENT lived up to his name clearing the field going 1 1/8 on the turf at Del Mar and breaking his maiden. He is the first winner for the West Coast string although there have been excellent stakes results from THUNDERING SKY and MALIBU STACY. WINNING ELEMENT is owned by Jim and Susan HIll.

DADDY IS A LEGEND by Scat Daddy was off slow, but stormed home to win going a mile and an 1/8th on the turf  at Keeneland in her third lifetime start, She was second last out. The 2 year old colt races for  Jim and Susan Hill.

Graded stakes placed HOLIDAY STONE added black type today in the Franklin-Simpson Stakes at Kentucky Downs racing 7 furlongs. He set the pace but was not able to sustain the late drives of 2 closers and had to settle for the show. He is owned by Jim and Susan Hill and has won  over $169,000 for them.

Going a mile on the turf at Saratoga, MALIBU STACY (Tizway), stakes placed in the G3 Victory Ride S. and the G2 Raven Run S. last year, was running on  the turf  for the second time in her career. Let go at19-1 she took the lead going into the first turn and was in front from then on and won convincingly by two-lengths.  MALIBU STACY is owned by and was bred by Jim & Susan Hill. She has earned over 3/4 of a million dollars for her connections.

2 year old gelding PARADISE ISLAND (Treasure Beach (GB) was in a bumper car duel with the leader and  was finally declared the winner of his first start. He ran 1 1/16 on the turf for owner/breeder Debora Morgan. As his breeder this must have been a tough one to watch, but she has a tough and determined gelding!

RATE FOR ME (Exchange Rate) pushed through traffic more than once to find a way to the winner's circle. He races for the Hills and sprinted 5 1/3 furlongs on the turf at Saratoga. He has earned pver $92,000..

THRICE (Hat Trick)  has not been off the board in 4 starts with 2 wins and 2 seconds and today where in counts, she won again running 6 furlongs first inside and then swinging out to clear the field. The 3 year old filly was claimed out of the race and we wish her new connections the best. SOMMERSET SANDY (Scat Daddy) owned by Parkland Thoroughbreds raced in second and then was steadied and dropped back a bit, but came on when cued and outfought rivals for the win going a mile on the turf in allowance company. She was bred by Cheryl A. Prudhomme & Dr. Michael T. Gallivan.

Staying close to the hedge initially, 4 year old filly SLY RANGER (U S RANGER) then swung out to rally into the first flight and gained the lead in a blnket finish for the win. She is owned by Jim and Susan Hill and was bred by Dr. Scott Kendall & Elise Kendall.

Four year old First Dude gelding WINE NOT tackled a tough non-winners of three allowance race at Belmont going  1 1/16 on the dirt. He moved through the field about 1/2 mile out with a rival and then edged between horses to get up for a game win by a neck. The George Weaver trainee  is closing on $200,000 in earnings.

Progeny of Warrior's Reward made yesterday a good day at the Weaver Barn. SUPER MARINA won the Wild Applause S and graded stake placed REQUITE won an allowance race at PARX coming wide and finishing gamely. He has earned over $250,000 for his connections owner Limestone Thoroughbreds Ltd and breeders  Dr. Wilfred Robinson and  Limestone Thoroughbreds.

Two year old PRESENCE OF MIND (Trappe Shot) making his first start dueled outside and fought the length of the stretch to wear down a tenacious rival by a head. The rest of the field was 6 1/2-lengths back PRESENCE OF MIND was  co-bred by Neal & Patricia McLaughlin & Kiaran McLaughlin. Kiaran McLaughlin trained much of this family and Neal is his brother and long time assistant.

In his third start, UNION RICHES (Union Rags) got the job done in a MSW at Tampa Bay going a mile on the turf. He stalked early and then grabbed the lead and ran on gamely to win by a neck and graduate from the maiden ranks. He is owned by R. A. Hill Stable and was bred by KatieRich Farms

Going a mile in allowance company on a sloppy sealed track at Aqueduct, WINE NOT (First Dude) rallied wide to get up for the win in the last few jumps. Winning for the second time, he has earned $151,105 for his connections. WINE NOT is owned by West Point thoroughbreds and was bred by Frank Hopewell Runner's Dream Farm.

A March OBS graduate, CAUGHT (Put It Back), was a step slow from the gate in a MSW at Gulfstream going a mile on the turf.  In  this race, that was a good thing as he missed all the traffic monkey business on the first turn. CAUGHT advanced up the rail on the backstretch, tipped out two wide in the lane and passed the leader in the final strides to win by a neck. He is owned by West Point Thoroughbreds.

Three year old gelding REASON TO SOAR made an exciting start to his career with a huge come from behind rally to graduate at first asking in a MSW at Gulfstream. He was outsprinted early but  began to advance and found another gear once switching to his right lead in the stretch. He  won going away by 6 1/4 lengths. REASON TO SOAR was a $110,000 OBS 2 year old purchase by West Point Thoroughbreds, He is trained by George Weaver. Watch for this one!

DYNAMAX PRIME (Bluegrass Cat) broke his maiden at Aqueduct going a mile and 70 at Aqueduct. He is owned by Team Penney Racing. DYNAMAX PRIME was forced wide throughout but came on 5 or 6 wide in the stretch to win by almosy 3 lengths.

Three year old filly AIR FORCE NURSE (To Honor and Serve) graduated going 6 furlongs on the inner track at Aqueduct. She broke well and and stayed fowardly placed and then won a 3 way tussle for the win. She is owned by former trainer Frank Alexander.

 R. A. Hill Stable's 2 yo filly SUPER MARINA (Warrior's Reward) raced inside and then split horses to win her first allowance condition, this one at Tampa Bay going a mile on the turf.  She won willingly by over 2 lengths. SUPER MARINA was bred by Frederick J. McEwan & Wilhelmina M. McEwan.

DARK GEMINI (IRE) found Laurel to his liking and graduated in a MSW going 1 1/8 on the turf. He came 3 wide and out gamed rivals in a stretch duel for the win. DARK GEMINI (IRE)  is owned by  Matthew Schera and has bankrolled over $50,000 with his win a several on the board finishes

FLEET IRISH came from out of the clouds to wear down his rivals and break his maiden first out for owner Joseph F. Fowler. He raced 7 furlongs on the dirt. He was bred by Newtown Anner Stud.

Two year old HOLIDAY STONE (Harlan's Holiday) was third in his first start and figured the game out quickly, setting the pace on the lead and holding on to win his second start for owners Jim and Susan Hill. He raced 7 furlongs on the turf and has already earned over $50,000.

3 year old Tizway filly graded stakes placed, Malibu Stacy added more graded black type running second in the Lexus Raven Run Stakes - Gr. 2 at Keeneland She has earned over $194,000. She overcame a bobble at the start and a wide run to the wire to finish strongly for owners Jim and Susan Hill.

Saratoga and Keeneland go hand in hand as one of the "best" places to win a race, CLEAR THE MINE broke his maiden at Saratoga and has now run off with a wire to wire win in allowance company at Keeneland. He is owned by Jim and Susan Hill and was bred by G. Watts Humphrey Jr., Susan Keller, Vicki Oliver & G. Watts Humphrey III.CLEAR THE MINE has earned $110,190 to date,

Graded SW of the Pilgrim S, ISOTHERM, added a  G2 placing, running a very strong second in the Commonwealth Derby at Laurel Park - Gr. 2. He raced wide and closed willingly in a late bid for the win. He is owned by  Matthew Schera and was bred by H. Allen Poindexter. ISOTHERM has bankrolled over  $266,000.

The Weaver barn sent out 4 first time two year old winners this summer at Saratoga and added a 5th early in the Belmont Fall Meet. We are proud of them all and thank our owners for entrusting them to us.

Despite hitting the gate at the start, 3 year old Street Boss gelding, VIRGA, zipped off and got over to the rail and never looked back. Off as the heavy favorite, he won by over 2 lengths of owner Matthew Schera and breeder Dixiana Farms, LLC. 

Winner of the New York Stallions Stakes filly division last out and second in the Saratoga Division, LOUISVILLE FIRST won a hard fought allowance race at Belmont. She came wide for a late cavelry charge to the wire.  She has earned close $200,000 for her owner RAP Racing. LOUISVILLE FIRST was bred by Mr. & Mrs. James G. Bell

FOR HONOR a two year old To Honor and Serve filly broke quickly, but remained just off the pace. At the top of the stretch she found a break in the traffic and used it to power to a 3 3/4 length win in her first start. She is owned by the R. A. Hill Stable & Gatsas Stables and was bred by Gainesway Thoroughbreds Ltd. 

DITCH EM, gave her owner/breeder David Campbella a win at Saratoga. Off the favorite, she dug in and got her graduation from the maiden ranks  done going 6 1/2 on the dirt.

Jim and Susan Hill's CLEAR THE MINE went off the strong favorite and that condfidence was justified as he sailed to a win by over 2 lengths to  break his maiden. Running 6 1/2 furlongs on the dirt, he stayed close to the pace and then tipped out 3 wide to clear the field. With this win and a second, he has already earned  $70,680.

CORT outbroke the field, had a little bobble but was able to cut over to the inside and despite a challenge held on with determination for the win sprinting 5 1/2 furlonngs on the turf at Saratoga. He has earned over $122,000 with 3 wins and a second and a third for owner Matthew Schera.

2 year old High Cotton filly, ZERO ZEE,  sprinted behind a fast 21.67 quarter-mile going 5 1/2 furlongs, At the top of the lane she swung out 6 wide and closed strongly holding sway over a rival in deep stretch. She is owned by Matthew Schera who is having a great meet.

Three year old Into Mischief colt, BEEKS went right to the lead, under pressure from a rival, fought clear and after straightening out in the strectch and was hand ridden to the wire - clearly the best of the field. It was his second start lifetime. BEEKS  is owned by  Matthew Schera and was bred by: J. Lancaster, G. Lancaster & K. Lancaster.

Four year old filly FUSAICHI RED, winner last year of the Miss Woodford Stakes and third in the Prioress G2 at Saratoga won an allowance race at Belmont for her first win in 2016. She saved ground on the rail and then angled out to clear the field for the win.  She is owned by Smart Choice Stable and was bred by Jack Anderson. She is approaching $200,000 in earnings.

RAP Stable's 3 year old Girolamo filly  LOUISVILLE FIRST was allowed to take back off the pace and then going wide, she sailed to the lead in a cavalry charge. She won by 1/2 a length to garner her first stakes win. She has earned over $133,000.

Three year old Desert Party filly RIO VISTA went right to the lead and despite racing greenly, never gave it up and won by over a length under a hand ride. She is owned by Rita Riccelli.

Five year old Irish bred mare Achnaha (IRE) won an AOC going a mile and 3/8 on the turf at Belmont. Last month she added Grade 3 black type to her pedigree running third in the Orchid Stakes at Gulfstream. She is owned by Sanford Bacon and has earned over $155,000..

Since breaking her maiden Stormy Sky has hit the board in every start. Today she added graded black type rallying to be third in the Vagrancy S. G3 at Belmont going 6 1/3 furlongs on the dirt. She is owned by Matthew Schera and was bred by Y-Lo Racing Stables, LLC. She has earned over $189,000 to date with 4 wins, 2 seconds and 2 thirds.

Two year old colt, SARATOGA TWO STEP had no trouble stepping out at Gulfstream to win his first out by over 6 lenghts. He won ridden out,  SARATOGA TWO STEP is owned by  Parkland Thoroughbreds and was bred by Carol Hershe .

Third last out at Gulfstream, ZARTAX found his way to the winner's circle by 5 1/3 lengths after his move north to Belmont going 7 furlongs on the dirt. He started close to the pace, tucked in a bit closer to the rail and accelerated in the stretch and drew off for the win. The 3 year old Ghostzapper gelding is owned by  Matthew Schera and was bred by Masaichiro Abe.

Three year old Scat Daddy filly SOMERSET SANDY has not been off the board in her three starts lifetime. She graduated today at Belmont going 6 furlongs on the grass. She cleared the field willingly for the win by a length and 3/4 in a very quick time of 1;08 and change. She is owned by Parkland Thoroughbreds and was bred by Cheryl A. Prudhomme & Dr. Michael T. Gallivan.

Sky Mesa filly,Thundering Sky now three, was second in her first start last October at Belmont and jumped from there right into stakes company in the Gin Talking Stakes at Laurel and  hit the board in third. Today she cleared the field to break her maiden in an off the turf  MSW at Aqueduct going a mile. The $145,000 yearling purchse  is owned by Matthew Schera and was bred by Almar Farm, LLC.

 Matt Schera's Indian Charlie filly SKOKIE tracked the pace until asked and then swung out to wear down the leaders and win her first allowance condition at Gulfstream going 7 1/2 furlongs on the turf. She broke her maiden at Aqueduct in the fall and has been on the board for both starts since then. She has earned just under $80,000.
